What is an MD file?

An MD file (.md) is a plain-text document written in Markdown — a lightweight formatting syntax used for README files, documentation, notes, and blog posts. It looks like ordinary text until it's rendered by a markdown viewer, which turns headings, lists, links, and code blocks into properly formatted output.

How do I open an MD file on Windows?

Double-clicking a .md file on Windows usually just opens it as plain text. Installing MDWeaver gives .md files a proper reader — install it once, and you can open any Markdown file straight from File Explorer, or drag and drop it onto the app window.

Can I read Markdown files on Android?

Yes — MDWeaver's Android app renders the same Markdown files, tables, and code blocks as the Windows edition, so you can read documentation and notes on your phone or tablet with the same formatting.
